What is Peer-To-Peer Lending?
Peer-To-Peer lending (also known as Crowd Funding) is where individuals and institutions lend money directly to businesses, cutting out the middleman (i.e. Bank) – the business benefits from having access to finance that may not have been available via a Bank and the saver benefits by being able to receive a higher rate of return from their investment than typically available from a saving account.
How does it work?
There are several organisations that provide a platform for businesses to list funding proposals directly to investors who have the option to fully or partially fund the request. The process acts like an auction wherein the rate of return is dependent upon the number of investors who bid – i.e. the loan rate reduces as more people bid.
CS Finance prepare the application on your behalf and answer any investor questions that may arise.
The application helps the investors understand your business and assess the risks in the investment since the auction outcome depends upon how many bids are attracted, a well written report is likely to generate additional interest and result in a lower interest rate.
Every listing is for a set time period (i.e. x7 days) and at the end of a successful auction the bids with the lowest interest rates are selected and you get an offer based on the average rate. If that is agreeable, you accept the deal and we prepare and complete the paperwork on your behalf.
CS Finance have an excellent broker reputation and attract a following of Lenders achieving a higher success rate.
